THE ARTIST

The band Henri Gonzo és a Papírsárkányok began to take shape in the mind of the Cuban-Hungarian singer-songwriter toward the end of the pandemic. The first EP by this literature-inspired, classic-sounding, Hungarian-language alternative band was released in 2022 on a limited-edition cassette. Ambrus Tövisházi is a Hungarian songwriter, producer, and film composer. Since 2002, he has also released music as Erik Sumo and wrote and performed the Japanese songs for the award-winning Hungarian film Liza, the Fox-Fairy. Henri Gonzo and Ambrus Tövisházi are long-time collaborators and two of the most prominent artists in the Hungarian alternative music scene.
