You might be thinking by now: What’s taking so long? And don’t worry, we’re asking the same question and we’ll attempt to provide you with some answers as well.
Making sure that every part of the song exchange is a 100% above board is a very long process, it’s a legal one and it has many players inolved. Although the recording sessions have mostly started, it’s not as easy as simply translating some lyrics and remixing the sound. You have to make sure that everyone’s rights, be it economic (who get’s the money) or ethical (who has a say about where the song can go). It’s a complex matrix and we’re partially or fully responsible to find and if needed negotiate with all the stakeholders.
